In 2026, Absolu Sports will celebrate 30 years of existence in the heart of the Avoriaz resort. Thirty years of history, passion for the mountains and close ties with holidaymakers, seasonal workers and locals who bring the resort to life. Since 1996, Christian and Carine Pollien, founders of the shop, have created much more than just a sports shop: it has become an essential meeting place for all winter sports enthusiasts.

The adventure began in 1996, when Christian and Carine decided to open their shop in Avoriaz. From the outset, their goal was clear: to offer a high-quality ski hire service in Avoriaz, combined with personalised support.
